Leigh Ann Saputo, BS, MS

Leigh Ann Saputo was born and raised in Virginia Beach, Virginia. After obtaining a bachelor’s degree in Statistical Mathematics, and a Master’s Degree in Accounting from Old Dominion University, Leigh Ann moved to Ocala, Florida, and worked as a CPA for 15 years at the firm of Duggan, Joiner & Company, CPAs in Ocala, Florida. Over the course of her career, Mrs. Saputo has obtained expertise in the areas of Corporate Tax, Employment Tax, Sales Tax, and Motor Fuel Tax, and has represented clients against both the State of Florida and the Internal Revenue Service.

Leigh Ann’s expertise includes the following:

• Auditing books and records for multi-state and international corporations
• Analyze accounting systems, determining reliability of records and internal controls, and determining the materiality of errors and omissions for both financial and tax audits based on applicable federal, state, and local laws and statutes.
• Prepare detailed, technical audit reports for both financial and tax audits
• Preparing federal, state, local, sales tax, and employment tax returns for business clients
• Financial audits of business entities based on generally accepted accounting principles issued by the AICPA
• Provide technical advice and training to new auditors based on expertise in tax law and generally accepted auditing standards in accordance with AICPA and FICPA guidelines
• Training state tax auditors for the State of Florida
• Representing clients under audit before both the Internal Revenue Service and the State of Florida

Leigh Ann has been married to Todd Saputo, a science and mathematics teacher, since 1998, and they have one daughter, Alexandra, who is currently pursuing a PhD in Chemistry at the University of South Florida.
